Hey Dads, welcome back to my video blog! Today, I’m going to talk about something that can help you lead a healthier lifestyle – Yoga!
Yes, you heard it right. Yoga is not just for women and hippies.
It’s for everyone who wants to improve their physical and mental well-being.
But wait, why should you care about yoga?
Well Hey Now!! My name is Isai and this is the Dad-Splanation Podcast and before we get into all the juicy goodness, don’t forget to Like, Subscribe, and Follow me on YouTube, FaceBook, Instagram, and TikTok for daily inspiration and motivation to get you moving in the right direction.
And now, with that said… let’s get the talking!!
So you might think that yoga is just simply stretching and breathing exercises.
Well, let me tell you, yoga is so much more than that. It’s a full-body workout that can improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance.
It can also reduce your stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s basically the ultimate mind and body workout.
Now, you might be thinking, “But I’m not super fit. Can I even do yoga?”…
And the answer is “Hell yeah! Of course, you can!”
Yoga is not about being flexible or doing complicated poses. It’s about listening to your body and doing what feels comfortable for you.
You can easily start with simple poses and then gradually work your way up the flexibility and strength ladder.
So, what are the benefits of yoga for dads like us?
First of all, it can reduce your stress levels. That’s a huge one right there for me. As dads, a lot of times we juggle multiple responsibilities and feel overwhelmed.
Yoga can help you calm your mind and relax your body. It can also improve your sleep quality, which is crucial for your overall health.
Secondly, yoga can improve your physical health. It can increase your flexibility, which is essential for preventing injuries and improving your mobility.
If you’re more flexible and mobile, you’re able to workout on a more consistent basis. There’s less of the “I’m feeling sore after my workout” and more of the “Let’s get into action” mentality.
It can also strengthen your muscles, especially the ones that support your spine and core. And because of this, you’ll end up feeling more energized and less fatigued.
Trust me on this one… I haven’t been doing my yoga as religiously as I’d like and lately I’ve been feeling a little less energized than I would like.
I mean, luckily for me, I’m taking a host of top shelf, premium supplements and so, I’m able to make it through my day without blinking an eye. And actually, I kinda feel like a superhero sometimes… but that’s another story for another day.
But that’s not all, in terms of the yoga workouts.
Yoga can also benefit your mental health. It can improve your focus, concentration, and memory. It can also boost your self-confidence and self-esteem.
As dads, we often forget to take care of our mental health. Yoga can be a great way to reconnect with yourself and your inner peace. To recenter yourself and to find that inner energy that’s bottled up inside of each and every one of you.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Okay, this sounds great, but how do I get started?”
Well, it’s simple. You can either join a yoga class or practice at home.
Personally, I practice at home because I can. I know some people need to physically get their but to a studio and just get it done but for me, Yoga at home is super convenient and I just make it happen. It’s all in your mindset and in your focus.
Are you determined to lead a healthier life? If you are, if you’re truly dedicated, then it won’t be a problem.
