So, interesting fact…

And now let’s move into our first segment… Healthy Conversations…

Healthy Conversations:   Best Frozen Meal Delivery Services

Frozen meals are convenient meal options that require very little meal prep or cooking.

However, many store-bought frozen entrées aren’t the healthiest or best tasting if I can be honest with you. Oftentimes, these meals are heavily processed, contain artificial preservatives, flavors, and other colorings.

Not only that but it can be really difficult to find options that fit your specific dietary needs.

Now if you’re like most people… busy with the family… work… home life… it can be hard to juggle all of that and still come home and prepare a good home-cooked meal…

What do most people do, though?… for the most part, they make reservations, right?…

You know, you call up your wife and you’re like “Hey babe! What do you feel like having for dinner?”… and while you both go back and forth about what you’d like to eat, you both ultimately end up deciding on which restaurant you feel like eating at…

… now this is kinda difficult these days with all the COVID restrictions and whatnot but still… a lot of restaurants are doing takeout more than anything and so it remains an option for most.

But here’s the problem…

These restaurants… they don’t necessarily have your health in mind with the meals they prepare and so if you’re trying to lose weight or just trying to stay on this earth longer than expected, this is something you really need to be thinking about at all times.

And while we’re keeping our health in mind, I’ve done some investigative work and tried a few services and so I’ve been able to put together a list of the 3 best frozen meal delivery services…

The first is BistroMD… I like Bistro MD because they offer both a men’s and women’s weight loss programs, as well as diabetic-friendly, menopause-friendly, gluten-free, and heart-healthy weight loss plans.

While the service is geared toward people looking to lose weight, you can also work with one of their dietitians to customize your plan for weight maintenance.

So it’s great for the whole family really.

You can even let them know about any allergies you may have and they’ll remove any items that contain that allergen from your plan.

I also love how each meal is designed by doctors and registered dietitians and prepared by chefs before being shipped to your doorstep. All you really have to do is reheat your meals for 5 minutes or less in the microwave.

The second on my list is Diet-to-Go… Customers of Diet-to-Go receive a set menu that changes week to week. However, you can substitute meal selections once an order is placed. Depending on your plan, you can receive five or seven days of food per week and two or three meals per day.

The meals will get to you fully cooked and can be easily reheated using a microwave, toaster oven, conventional oven, or even a steamer. Plus, unlike some other services, Diet-to-Go also provides all of the side dishes and condiments that you need for each meal.

Now although they have a lot of different meals to choose from, I think it’s important to note that they currently don’t offer gluten-free or vegan options so that might be a deal breaker if you fall in either one of those categories.

It’s also not the best option for those with severe food allergies because all of the meals are prepared in the same kitchen, and allergens can’t be filtered out when selecting menu choices.

Not only that but while some organic ingredients are used, it’s not really the best option for those who prefer to eat exclusively organic.

And so the third on this short list is Paleo on the Go… SO “Paleo on the Go” provides frozen meals to fit a variety of specific low carb diets, including paleo, Whole30, keto, and the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP).

Each week, you can mix and match meal choices based on your dietary needs to create a custom menu.

As ingredient quality is an important aspect of the paleo diet, all of the meats and animal products used in these meals are humanely raised and free of hormones and antibiotics.

The fish is all wild caught or organic, and the beef and lamb are grass-fed and grass-finished.

Again, it’s a great option for those on a mediterranean, paleo, or Keto diets.

Now I’ve tried all tree of these services and they’re all great but there are a lot of things you need to consider when looking into a frozen food delivery service.

They make it easy and convenient to enjoy a nutritious meal that fits your nutritional needs without spending time cooking or prepping food.

And so as there are many services to pick from, it’s important to look for a company that provides a good variety of meals that fit your specific dietary and food preferences.

In my VIP Insider’s List, I generally go into a bit more detail and talk more about the details of how to choose services like these.

So that’s it for our first segment… let’s roll right into the next…

Mighty Man:   Breakfast Foods That Help You Lose Weight

I don’t know about you but I’ve found that when you’re trying to lose weight, breakfast can set the whole tone for the rest of your day.

And not just breakfast but the right breakfast… or more specifically… the right breakfast foods.

Because eating the wrong stuff for breakfast can actually have the opposite effect. You can set yourself up for disaster right from the beginning of your day.

Who wants that?

We’re all trying to live for as long as we can, right? (Well I know I am!)

So let’s get right into it…

EGGS
Eggs are a real powerhouse of nutrition. They are rich in protein as you know… and have a ton of important vitamins and minerals.

Because of the high amount of protein in eggs, they help reduce appetite when eaten with breakfast to give you a real weight loss boost.

Part of the whole losing weight and being healthy thing is about not overeating and simply getting enough nutrition from the food that you do eat.

With eggs you get both of these benefits in one tiny little package.

You get plenty of nutrition and the protein fills you up and give you the energy you need to slay your day like a champ!

WHEAT GERM
So wheat germ is a component of the wheat kernel itself and it contains a concentrated amount of vitamins and minerals.

It’s also packed with fiber which is excellent for your gut health.

In one study I came across talked about how eating a high-fiber cereal was effective at reducing appetite and food intake, as well as helping stabilize blood sugar levels after a meal.

Wheat germ is great… you can use it as a topping for oatmeal, smoothies or yogurt bowls… just to add a little bit of crunch and some extra fiber to your breakfast.

WIN WIN if you ask me!

BANANAS
This is a personal favorite of mine. Especially when they rippen enough to the point where they start getting little freckles on their skin. YUMMY!!

I used to love those sugary breakfast cereals when I was younger and found that a good banana satisfies that craving for a little sweet first thing in the morning.

They’re also high in fiber but low on calories… One medium banana has just over 100 calories yet packs a 3 gram fiber punch… that’s about 12% of your daily required fiber intake in one shot! BOOM!!

They’re also very versatile… Bananas can be enjoyed alone or sliced as a topping for yogurt, cottage cheese or my personal favorite… on oatmeal.

If you’re a smoothie type of guy… You can also add unripe, green bananas to your morning smoothie for a hearty dose of resistant starch.

YOGURT
Aaaah yes… yogurt! I love yogurt!! It’s creamy, delicious, and satisfying… Yogurt is an excellent compliment to your weight loss diet.

Especially GREEK yogurt because it generally has a nice heart healthy chunk of protein which makes it’s damn near perfect when looking for something satisfying and nutritious to freshen up your weight loss regimen…

Let’s face it… some of these diets are sooo boring… I’ve stopped more diets than started just because I couldn’t stomach the crap they wanted me to eat…

Now had they said “get yourself some primo Greek yogurt”… the outcome may have been different… but you live and you learn, right! Hahaha!

SMOOTHIES
Let me tell you… I loooove smoothies… Not only are they a quick and easy way to get concentrated doses of nutrients into your diet but they also double as a convenient breakfast item that can accelerate weight loss.

They’re also a great way to switch up your diet because you can basically customize your ingredients and tailor your drink to your own personal taste.

For instance, I’m more of a strawberry, blueberry, banana, and kiwi guy… you might be more of a papaya, banana, and pineapple person… it really doesn’t matter much as long as you don’t add too many high calorie ingredients, you’re pretty much good to go.

It’s truly a convenient way to increase your intake of fiber and protein which’ll help reduce hunger and increase weight loss. But like I said, be mindful of how much of the high calorie stuff you put in.

OATMEAL
Oatmeal is a healthy and delicious breakfast option, especially if you’re looking to lose weight.

Oats in general are low in calories but high in fiber and protein — two key nutrients that impact appetite and weight control. They fill you up and keep you fuller longer…

They’re an excellent source of beta-glucan which is a type of fiber shown to have a positive impact on pretty much everything from immune function to heart health.

I love to add some sliced bananas or ripened berries… black berries, blueberries, strawberries… all great stuff… but just like with smoothies… try not to load it up with too many high calorie toppings.

NUTS
Nuts provide the perfect balance of fiber, protein and heart-healthy fats, making them a great addition to any breakfast.

A one-year Cambridge study in 169 people showed that adding nuts to a Mediterranean diet significantly decreased waist size compared to a control group.

By the end of the 24-week study, the group that consumed more NUTS like Almonds and Walnuts had lost 62% more weight and 56% more body fat than those consuming more complex carbs.

Nuts are high in fiber, protein and healthy fats so that makes them a great addition or even a substitute for breakfast.

Starting your day on the right foot and with the right foods can make a world of difference when it comes to weight loss.

Eating healthy breakfast foods can make it easier to curb cravings and stick to your weight loss goals.
