7 Warning Signs It’s Time to Give Your Day a Boost of Energy

by | Aug 22, 2022 | Blog

Most of us have a tendency to let our energy levels drop over time. We might even notice ourselves falling asleep in meetings, or struggling to make it through the day without getting distracted by our phone.

Fortunately, there are ways to turn these tendencies around.

Unfortunately, in order for us to do so, we need to understand the warning signs our body uses to tell us we’re leading it in the wrong direction.

We need to know what’s happening to our brain and body, and how to correct those issues before they become a real problem. Most people don’t realize that energy is something that you can improve and maintain. And if you can identify those warning signs quickly, then you’re in a great position to correct the issues before they get too far.

In this post, I’ll give you 7 signs that it’s time to boost your energy, so that you can do what you love for longer.

The 7 Warning Signs To Look Out For

We all have days when we feel like we’re running on empty. It can be tough to keep up with the demands of work and family, let alone hit those gym goals.

The good news is that there are a number of things you can do to make sure you never run out of energy, no matter what time of day it is.

But first we need to know what to look out for in order to make the right adjustments.

    Not sleeping well

If you find yourself feeling drowsy during the day, then it’s a good idea to try and get some more shut-eye.

A good night’s rest can help you feel refreshed and rejuvenated the next day. If you’re finding yourself falling asleep at work, then you need to try and get some more sleep. If you’re feeling tired during the day, then you might want to consider having a nap.

    Not sleeping well

    Craving junk food

You might not realise it, but if you’re not eating properly, you could be putting your energy levels at risk. Eating a healthy, balanced diet is important for many reasons.

A balanced diet ensures that you get the vitamins and minerals you need to live, and also gives you the energy you need to be active.

When your body craves junk food to get through the day, what it really means is that it’s not getting the nutrients it needs.

The problem is, most junk foods are high in fat, sugar and salt – all of which can cause you to gain weight and put you at risk of all sorts of health conditions.

    Stressed

Stress can have a big impact on your energy levels. If you’re constantly stressed, you may find it hard to get going in the morning. You can also find yourself feeling tired throughout the day.

It’s kind of hard to avoid stress 100% of the time but by understanding what the stressors in your life and avoiding them, then you have a good chance and recapturing some of that much needed energy back into your life.

    Feeling anxious

Anxiety can be a real drain on your energy levels also. If you’re constantly worried about things, you might find that you’re not sleeping well, or that you’re having trouble concentrating.

    feeling anxious

This is similar to stress. It’s an emotional response that we all have, but when it gets out of control it can make us feel drained, and even sick.

If you’re feeling anxious, take a deep breath and ask yourself what’s really causing this feeling. Is it something you can deal with? Or are you just being anxious over nothing?

      Not exercising

If you’re not exercising, you’re going to feel tired throughout the day. You’ll end up feeling sluggish and lethargic. At a bare minimum, it’s a good idea to get up and move around every hour.

When you exercise, your body gets a release of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals. They also help you feel more relaxed so you can sleep better and wake up refreshed.

There are two types of exercise: aerobic exercise, or cardio, and strength training. Both of these will improve your health. And in my opinion, the best way to use exercise to improve your energy levels is to do both.

Cardio exercise will help you burn calories and keep your heart healthy. Strength training will build muscle, which is an important component of burning fat.

      Bored

If you’re feeling bored, it can be a sign that you need to do something new. Try taking a break from your usual routine and doing something that you’ve never done before.

You don’t realize how much boredom affects your energy levels but if you have a bad case of boredom, you might even experience depression.

      Unmotivated

Sometimes when you’re finding it hard to get going, you’re probably just not feeling motivated. Maybe your goals aren’t big enough to keep you going or maybe you feel like you’ve got too much on your plate already and you can’t add any more.

If you find yourself stuck in a rut, then take a look at what’s going on. Do you need to set your goals bigger? Are you working on something that’s a drag? Is there anything that’s stopping you from getting started?

      Unmotivated

These are all things that could be causing you to feel uninspired. And if you’re uninspired then your motivation and your energy will go along with it.

      BONUS TIP: Struggling to concentrate

If you’re struggling to focus, it could be because you’re low on energy. You might find it hard to focus, and struggle to complete your tasks. Your mind will be wandering around, and your thoughts won’t be in one place.

Have you ever noticed your concentration slipping right before lunch, then you eat and your concentration is a lot better? That’s because your body needs fuel to work properly.

When you don’t eat enough, your body goes into survival mode and that means it starts conserving energy and using up its resources, including your mental energy.

Your brain needs energy to function. If you’re not eating enough, your brain will also start to use up its resources, and you won’t be able to think as clearly or concentrate as well.

What can you do to regain some natural energy

Energy is a funny thing. It’s kind of like a muscle that you have to work out to stay strong and healthy. The problem is that sometimes, we don’t get out there and use it enough. We tend to sit back and let it go to waste.

However, if we want to live a long and happy life, we need to make sure that we take care of our energy.

To regain natural energy, you must first find out what you are lacking in.

Now that being said, there are many different ways to build up your energy levels, and some of them are better than others.

Ultimately you want to make sure you’re staying active, getting the right nutrients into your body, and taking the time to really relax and rejuvenate your mind and body.

This is what I’ve found to help me keep my energy levels up as I build my business, work my “9-to-5”, and take the time to be the best possible dad I can be to my two wonderful boys!

I also have a few “secret weapons” that naturally assist with my energy levels that I’ve shared with those who are on the VIP list. Click here to find out more.

      Conclusion

We all need energy. It’s what allows us to get up in the morning and go to work. It’s what keeps us going through the day and helps us make it to the end of the week. It’s what allows us to live the best life we can live with the people that mean the most to us.

It’s true… We all need energy but you may not even realize that you’re slowly running out of it. If you’re feeling tired, worn out, or low on energy, there are some things you can do to get back on track and get some of it back naturally.

Unfortunately, we’re spending too much time at work and not enough time with our families. We’re eating too many processed foods and not enough real food. We’re getting too little sleep and not enough exercise. If you’re looking for more energy, it’s time to change your lifestyle.

To help you do that, I’ve put together these 10 Mind Hacks that’ll help you train your mind first, then your body. Click here for more info.
